I have been hunting for affiliates for a little while now. If
you have too, and you'd like to be one of my friends/affiliates I have a
few 200x40 banners featuring some of my artwork. I would be happy to trade
with almost anyone, so email me at
kat@katattack.org if you're
interested.
The spaceman button featuring Daniel is better suited for
darker shaded backgrounds.

I bought katattack.org in about October of 2007 although I didn't start working on
it until May of this year (2008). I originally intended it to be a
semi-professional portfolio, but now I see that my quirky web design habits
will not allow me to do anything serious. Maybe I'm just not interested in
being serious. I'm quite all right with that for now because I am not yet
a professional, and if I try to be it may just suck all of the fun out of
this website for me.
Actually starting to build the site
proved to be difficult. I didn't know where to start, and then I saw
aifol.net, a photography
portfolio by a guy named Leonidas. I liked the simple horizontal
design and other things, so I built my site with similar elements. So
that's how I finally got out of my 2-year pseudo-designer's block. So,
thank you Leonidas.
The name, katattack.org, doomed this
domain into becoming unserious. First of all, it is my username on the
Playstation 3 network. I chose .org because it just generally flows better
than any other name extension. I think that katattack.com would have had
too many harsh "Kuh" sounds and generally killed the way a website name is
supposed to roll off the tongue. Anyway, a lot of the graphics on this
site came from my old long-dead domain anti-trash.org. So, I have been
working on phasing out old buttons and things and replacing them with new
ones.

I used to study
HTML avidly when I was about 14 until I was about 17, but then I dropped
off the face of the internet due to life. I just purchased a new laptop,
and with it I have been able to build katattack.org! Although I've had to relearn almost
everything HTML-related from scratch, and it was very frustrating at
first. I have to go through the horrible drama of eliminating those ugly
hyperlink image borders, which I had totally forgotten how to do!
I'm not sure what else katattack.org
will become a home for, whether I will eventually establish a blog or a
forum or something else, right now I'm just trying to do as much artwork
as possible to make this site exciting and worth viewing. In any case, I
hope you enjoy what I have posted so far and look foreward to updates!
There, now you know more about katattack.org than you than you ever needed
to!
